A CV is a marketing tool – your own personal advertisement, not your life story!

If the presentation and content of your CV (and covering letter) is poor, then it is quite possible that it will not receive the attention it deserves.

Remember a CV will not get you the job, it is there to get you an interview or meeting.

It should be a highly professional and clear document which contains all relevant information and which enhances your experience and skill set.

Recruiters scan CV’s for perhaps 30 seconds before sorting them into YES, NO or MAYBE groupings.

Your CV therefore should contain only relevant, accurate and important information that will interest the recipient sufficiently to give you an interview.

Remember employers buy demonstrable, relevant experience not a list of responsibilities from a job description. Focus on what you have delivered.

A well written and presented CV also allows you to keep stronger control of the interview process.

A highly personal coaching programme that is proving to be both a liberating and challenging experience, this has been achieved because there is absolute trust, honesty and openness between the coach and the coachee.
